As a person looks back on a life lived, certain events stand out as something truly special...
...when you get married; when a child is born; when you achieve some measure of success; when you ask Jesus into your life. But from this proud father's standpoint, few events are quite as special as seeing your children Get It! By getting it I mean when they realize that you have to give back.............it is when you give yourself away that you truly receive something.
Last year my second son, Tim decided that he wanted to begin the sport of cycling. He bought a bike and began riding. Before long he decided he wanted another bike.....lighter weight and much more expensive. In fact that bike cost more than my first, second and third car combined. A short while later something in Tim's mind clicked and he decided that he wanted to raise money for cancer research by participating in one of Lance Armstrong's signature events, the 100 mile LIVESTRONG Challenge.
